It will be a night of soul and funk celebration at Funky Elephant's 15th Anniversary Year Start-Up Party April 8th, 2009 @ Virgin Oil Co., Helsinki. Tuomo will be warming up for legendary Lonnie Liston Smith and his trusty drummer Lee Pearson.
Smith started out playing acoustic jazz before exploring jazz fusion, soul, and funk. He joined Miles Davis as an electric keyboardist in the early 1970s. In 1973 Smith founded the Cosmic Echoes band with his brother Donald Smith. In Helsinki, he will be performing with drummer Lee Pearson and his band Beava's Atmosphere.
